Jay Cohenford

Data Insights

Jay has nearly 20 years of experience in consumer banking, focused on the data and reporting needs in credit risk, default management, loss forecasting, and compliance. Jay started his career with a large regional bank as a consumer loan collector – and within three years was managing a team of 40 collectors. As manager of that team, Jay identified significant gaps in the information and reporting available to manage performance. Rather than wait for dedicated IT and Analytic resources to become available, Jay took it upon himself to build out a suite of key performance reports joining the collections system, dialer, and systems of record – to enable the various leaders to effectively coach and manage their teams. Jay became the Vice President of Default Management Analytics as a result of this effort. Jay joined the consulting team at Bridgeforce in 2011. Jay has been a core team member in a diverse range of projects, including technology deployment, vendor system selection, project management support, policy and procedure documentation, and the development and enhancement of compliance management systems. Jay’s passions though have always been the data focused projects: data-driven strategy development, scorecard validations, and measuring controls effectiveness, to name a few. Jay transitioned to Bridgeforce Data Solutions in 2020 to follow his passions for understanding data and using it to build the actionable insights that make tomorrow better than yesterday for clients.

“I joined BDS because I have a passion for understanding data, and using it to create actionable insights. I want to enable decision-makers to focus on the real change they can make, rather than trying to figure out how to get the insights they need to make key business decisions.”

Matt Williams

Finance

While Matt’s primary responsibility as Controller is to maintain Bridgeforce Data Solutions finances, his background often lends itself to working on client analytics projects. In these cases, Matt brings his strong client focus and attention to detail to deliver actionable insights for clients. Matt has worked with clients in many different asset classes and stages of the consumer loan life cycle. Prior to Bridgeforce, Matt worked for PNC Bank in the Derivative Products division of their Capital Markets group. Matt lives on the eastern shore of Maryland, where he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his with his wife and children.
